The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Every vintage, every soil, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for ever higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Villa Antinori is a historic white wine, introduced in 1931 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, capable of representing the Tuscan territory through the union of traditional grapes such as Trebbiano and non-traditional grapes such as Chardonnay to give the wine additional structure.
The historic Villa Antinori Bianco wine has been chosen as the Official Supplier of the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome, the most important golf competition in the world.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose is fine and elegant, with fruity notes of apple, pear, pineapple and floral hints of wild flowers, then turning to delicate spicy hints of candied fruit. In the mouth it is agile, slender and drinkable, fresh at times sapid-mineral and with a finish of good persistence.
Storage time:
0-2 years
Vinification
The grapes were destemmed and gently crushed; the must was cooled to a temperature of 10 °C to promote natural clarification. After 48 hours it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature not exceeding 16 °C.
