Domenico Clerico was one of Italy's most important producers and one of the best interpreters of the Nebbiolo grape variety. He was one of the greatest innovators in the Italian wine world, working long and steadily, all focused on enhancing the qualities of Barolo with the philosophy and passion that have always guided him and that he has skilfully passed on to those who have picked up his baton. Domenico Clerico's winery has 21 hectares of vineyards, located in some of the best Barolo sub-zones of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba.
Description
Domenico Clerico's Trevigne is a round, fresh red wine made from pure Barbera grapes and aged in French oak for about 16 months.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has an intense ruby red colour. The nose is complex with hints of plum and cherry. In the mouth it is fresh, savoury and round.
The finish is long.
Storage time:
5-7 years
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation is accompanied by 14 days of maceration on the skins
