Description
Luna Mater reinterprets the tradition of Frascati by using grapes from old vineyards that still produce the most typical grapes of the area, sau hills at an altitude of about 400 metres above sea level of volcanic nature. The name Luna Mater evokes genesis and procreation, symbolically interpreting the birth of the winery and the inspiration to techniques, grapes and vines that are part of the Frascati tradition. There is also a reference to the moon, mysterious and enigmatic, which has always been linked to agricultural practices as well as to the stages of wine bottling.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Luminous golden yellow colour. The nose, enveloped in an effluvia of green almonds, is initially dominated by papaya, quince, cedar and ripe yellow peach, followed by notes of chamomile, broom, acacia, oregano and mint. In the mouth it is warm and enveloping, savoury and fresh; it lingers on balsams and citrus fruits
Storage time:
2 to 5 years
Vinification
part of the grapes are immediately fermented in contact with the skins to obtain a distinct varietal character. Finally, the berries of the last grapes, harvested a few days later, are added whole to the fermenting mash obtained from the first harvested grapes.
