The Querciabella winery is located in Greve in Chianti, in the cradle of Chianti classico. It was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, a pioneer of biodynamic and organic farming in Italy, an industrial entrepreneur and lifelong wine enthusiast who bought a single hectare of vineyard on a Tuscan hillside and set about creating an estate that would soon encompass the entire region. Today, Querciabella spreads over about 100 hectares and produces cult supertuscan wines such as Batàr and Camartina, which have won multiple awards from international critics. Querciabella wines are present in 54 countries around the world and represent one of the undisputed pinnacles of Italian oenology.
Description
Querciabella Chianti Classico Riserva is a perfect blend of the estate's best Sangiovese parcels from the vineyards of Greve, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti. Bottled only and exclusively in the best vintages, Querciabella Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is a great, award-winning Tuscan wine that is surprisingly intense and inviting.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a brilliant ruby red colour. Its bouquet is rich with aromas of violets, ripe cherries, earth, oak and a touch of incense.
In the mouth it is full-bodied, powerful and full, enriched by notes of rosemary. Well-integrated tannins, great structure and excellent freshness. Very long finish.

Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels.
