The Querciabella winery is located in Greve in Chianti, in the cradle of Chianti classico. It was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, a pioneer of biodynamic and organic farming in Italy, an industrial entrepreneur and lifelong wine enthusiast who bought a single hectare of vineyard on a Tuscan hillside and set about creating an estate that would soon encompass the entire region. Today, Querciabella spreads over about 100 hectares and produces cult supertuscan wines such as Batàr and Camartina, which have won multiple awards from international critics. Querciabella wines are present in 54 countries around the world and represent one of the undisputed pinnacles of Italian oenology.
Description
Batàr is a Super Tuscan white par excellence and one of Italy's greatest white wines. The wine made from hand-selected Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grapes has a legendary ability to defy age and improve over time.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The bouquet is broad, aromatic and seductive with aromas of acacia flowers, chamomile, yellow peach, yellow plum and melon. Hints of passion fruit and fresh pineapple with light notes of saffron and cedar. On the palate, the wine is voluptuous yet elegant, with great finesse.
