Description
Recreated on the ancient recipe of the House Herbalist Oenologist, this tonic and digestive boast countless healthy, digestive, depurative and aperitif properties derived from the thistle. Enhancing the characteristics of Cardo Gobbo di Nizza Monferrato are a skilfully dosed mix of bitter spices: China, Rhubarb, Gentian combined with Aloe.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Amber colour, with bright highlights and a dark brown tinge in transparency. Intense and complex, the result of the blend of different extracts and long ageing. The spicy notes of Cardo Gobbo, Gentian, Clary Sage and Liquorice stand out; hints of dried Fruit, Grapes and Ginger also emerge. Full and harmonious sweetness reflects the extraordinary balance between the sweet note, the bitterness of some herbs and the pleasant savouriness conferred by the wine.
Pleasantness unobtainable in other bitters also due to the moderate alcohol content. Long and persistent aftertaste maintains the complexity and spicy notes of the herbs with a slight hint of tobacco

Vinification
Each spice and herb is individually macerated in a hydro-alcoholic infusion and then extracted for maximum exaltation of each botanical.
