Speri is one of the historical and authoritative families of Veronese viticulture, with an international appeal and distribution that touches 60 countries. The company's strength lies in its respect for tradition, which is carried on with passion, respect and a quest for excellence. The history of the company began in the first half of the 19th century and today the Speri family has reached the seventh generation with an extension of about 60 hectares of vineyards in the most suitable areas of Valpolicella Classica.
Description
It is one of the most significant Valpolicella Superiore wines in the area and is made from grapes grown in the Monte Sant'Urbano vineyard. A typically territorial wine, both in terms of the choice of grape varieties and the vinification process. It is produced from the indigenous red grape varieties historically grown in Valpolicella, mainly Corvina veronese, Rondinella and Molinara, and with a light drying of the grapes.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense ruby red in colour with a broad, enveloping bouquet of fruit and herbs. Hints of spices, followed by dried flowers and aromatic herbs.
Solid and assertive palate, enveloping, soft and elegant.
Storage time:
2-7 years
Vinification
Manual harvest and subsequent drying of the grapes for 25/30 days. In November, pressing and subsequent fermentation with maceration.
