Description
Torrione from the Petrolo winery was born in the Pietraviva sub-zone, from a blend of Sangiovese 80%, Merlot 15% and Cabernet Sauvignon 5% grapes. Intended by Lucia Bazzocchi Sanjust in 1988 and made then with the help of Giulio Gambelli, master of Sangiovese. It is a wine of great structure, elegance and balance.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Ruby red colour. The nose is fruity, floral and spicy. Warm, enveloping and full-bodied in the mouth.

Vinification
Manual harvesting in crates. Selection of bunches and grapes on sorting table. Natural vinification with indigenous
indigenous yeasts in vitrified cement vats. Frequent but gentle manual pumping over. Long macerations.
