In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.
Description
This grape variety with its intense and pronounced aromas began to be cultivated extensively in the Oltradige region in the 1980s. The stony, calcareous soils and cool fall-back winds at the foot of the Mendel massif favour the creation of a lively, expressive Sauvignon in the Lahn vineyards. Fresh acidity, delicate minerality and splendid clarity make Sauvignon Lahn a trendy white.
