The Bleeding Heart Rum Co., founded by Stephen Carroll of the UK, has launched for the first time a premium rum produced in the Philippines, one of the largest markets for rum production and consumption. Don Papa Rum (launched in 2012) is sold in award-winning packaging, French 70 cl glass bottle, Portuguese cork, Italian-printed label, brand image developed by New York-based studio Stranger & Stranger.
Description
Don Papa Alon is a tribute to the coastal flavours of the Philippines, Alon captures the essence of adventure with its infusion of coconut jackfruit and green chilli. This limited edition created as an ode to the free and adventurous travels of Papa Isio, recognised as a symbol of resistance and freedom in the Philippines. Made from 100% sugar cane molasses from the island of Negros, Don Papa Alon is distilled in the unique volcanic climate surrounding the slopes of Mount Kanlao
Organoleptic characteristics:
Amber in colour, it is creamy, unctuous and deeply vibrant, rich in warm, lively spices. Strong hints of tropical fruit, green mango and papaya emerge on the nose, accompanied by hints of vanilla, sugar and citrus.
The palate is elegant and easy-drinking, with fruity aromas of peach, pear, sugar cane and a hint of almond.
The final impression of persistence is refreshing.
