Cellar
The Buccia Nera winery is located in the province of Arezzo in Tuscany. The name Buccia Nera was inherited from a grandfather with very dark skin, coloured and thickened by the sun and the many hours spent in the fields working. For five generations, the Mancini family took care of the estate's vineyards and olive groves. Today, they are taken care of by Alessia, Anastasia and Roberta Mancini with the technical advice of Sandro Nalli, the winery's oenologist. This quartet, driven by passion, the desire to experiment and the knowledge acquired during their studies, took the path of organic and natural viticulture some time ago. In 2002, the winery was certified entirely organic and later its production was certified Vegan. The winery goes beyond the requirements of these certifications, seeking its own identity in natural winemaking. This means spontaneous fermentation, no clarification, light or no filtration and very low doses of added sulphur dioxide.
Description
a macerated white wine made from a blend of Trebbiano and Grechetto grapes, a wine full of personality and highly expressive aromatic and organoleptic qualities.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense gold colour with golden reflections tending towards orange.
The nose is a fascinating wine that never ceases to give off aromas as it lingers in the glass. Among the dominant notes are apricot, tea leaves, ginger root.
On the palate it is smooth and gives a pleasant sensation of warmth given by the good alcohol content balanced by acidity and minerality. The slight presence of tannin leaves the mouth pleasantly dry. It is a long and persistent wine.
Storage time:
2-3 years
Vinification
The destemmed grapes remain in maceration on the skins during the entire alcoholic fermentation for about 40 days. Alcoholic fermentation takes place entirely in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature of 18°C.
