The Buccia Nera winery is located in the province of Arezzo in Tuscany. The name Buccia Nera was inherited from a grandfather with very dark skin, coloured and thickened by the sun and the many hours spent in the fields working. For five generations, the Mancini family took care of the estate's vineyards and olive groves. Today, they are looked after by Alessia, Anastasia and Roberta Mancini with the technical advice of Sandro Nalli, the company's oenologist. This quartet, driven by passion, the desire to experiment and the knowledge acquired during their studies, took the path of organic and natural viticulture some time ago. In 2002, the winery was certified entirely organic and later the production was certified Vegan. The winery goes beyond the requirements of these certifications, seeking its own identity in natural winemaking. This means spontaneous fermentation, no clarification, light or no filtration and very low doses of added sulphur dioxide.
