Masseria Mita

The Masseria Mita farm is located in the Salento region of Apulia. The owners are Vincenzo and Maria Imperatrice who have always been passionate about organic viticulture. The farm has 10 hectares dedicated to indigenous vines of Primitivo, Negroamaro and Aleatico and some international vines such as Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon. The training system of the vineyards is espalier. 

Description

Imperatrice Salento IGT by Masseria Mita is an organic Apulian red wine made from the vinification of Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes. It is an enveloping, full-bodied, structured and succulent wine.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Red colour tending towards violet. The nose is floral, fruity and spicy. On the palate it is structured and savoury.

over 5-7 years

Gastronomic pairings

medium and highly matured cheeses, first courses with meat sauces, smoked and spiced sausages

Vinification

vinification, maceration and fermentation are carried out at a controlled temperature
