Cellar
The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Every vintage, every soil, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for ever higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Il Bruciato was born in 2002, in one of the most difficult vintages of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, in order to recount and introduce the unique terroir of Bolgheri in a modern style. The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes come from vineyards located on soils with a wide geological variability capable of expressing great complexity.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The Bruciato has the usual intense ruby red colour. Notes of ripe red berries, sweet spices and tobacco stand out on the nose. On the palate it is well structured, enveloping and with a pleasant fruity aftertaste that gives it pleasant drinkability and persistence.
Storage time:
2-5 years
Vinification
Destemming and gentle crushing in stainless steel; fermentation and maceration took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of approximately 10-15 days at a temperature of 28-30 °C; malolactic fermentation partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks
