In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.
Description
Fallwind is the name of the fall wind that characterises the entire cultivation area of Cantina San Michele Appiano. It is the element that gives its wines extraordinary aromatic characteristics, freshness and great longevity. The Sauvignon 'Fallwind' is lively and expressive. It is produced from vineyards in 'Appiano Monte' and close to the village of Appiano (450-650m). Freshness and delicate minerality make this wine a stylish white.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections
On the nose aromas of pineapple, kiwi, elderberry, gooseberry and honey.
On the palate it is mineral, refreshing and balanced, elegant.
Storage time:
0-5 years
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel, as does maturing on the lees until the end of February the following year.
