In 1907, a small group of winegrowers decided to join forces to improve the quality of their labels, thus giving birth to the San Michele Appiano cooperative winery, which is today a reality that counts around three hundred and fifty members for an annual production that exceeds two million bottles. A veritable colossus, an absolute reference for the entire production world, not only in Alto Adige, that never fails to live up to expectations thanks to a range of unique reliability. From Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau, from Sauvignon to Riesling, from Pinot Bianco to Lagrein, each bottle is a perfect synthesis of the varietal from which it was born. Fresh and vibrant wines, characterised by a clear territorial appeal and surprising average quality.
Description
The Fallwin is made from 100% Gewurztraminer grapes from the winery's vineyards along the Strada del Vino in Appiano and Caldaro. This Gewurztraminer is one of the latest creations of the San Michele Appiano Winery. Its name derives from the 'Fallwind' wind that blows gently over the vineyards, creating the optimal microclimate for these grapes: on the label you can read the words 'Ventus ferat, ventus creat', meaning 'the wind blows, the wind creates'.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Intense straw yellow with golden hues. The nose has a broad bouquet of rose, exotic fruits, oriental spices, cloves and cinnamon. The sip is ample and well balanced.

Vinification
fermentation and maturation on the lees in steel containers until the end of February.
