Cellar
Fossacolle is a small jewel-cellar with only 4 hectares of land in the southern area of Montalcino. It is three generations united by a passion for wine. Marchetti Sergio, the owner of the winery, is part of an ancient family whose origins date back to the 18th century. The descendants of this family lived and worked as farmers in the lands of a great and noble family. At the beginning of the 1980s, the owner of these lands, selling the land where the Marchetti family lived, decided to donate the 'Podere Fossacolle' to them, so in 1984 the winemaking activity began with the first Sangiovese vineyards.
Description
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is produced with grapes from the oldest vineyards of Sangiovese Grosso. A wine of excellent balance that promises with bottle ageing to increase its bouquet, which is already elegant and complex.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby colour where the aromas of ripe fruit are supported on the palate by great body. Remarkable are the tannins, soft in texture and unctuous in texture, showing great elegance and balance.
