The Antinori have dedicated themselves to the art of wine-making for more than six hundred years: ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
For 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this activity with innovative and sometimes courageous choices, but always maintaining unaltered respect for tradition and for the territory.
Every vintage, every soil, every idea is a new beginning, a new search for ever higher quality margins. As Marquis Piero likes to say: "ancient roots play an important role in our philosophy, but they have never inhibited our innovative spirit".
Description
Bramasole was born in Marchesi Antinori's La Braccesca winery, in one of the areas of Cortona most suited to the cultivation of quality Syrah. It is a wine that has been able to evolve over time and recount, according to a new variety, a territory with an ancient winemaking tradition. The first vintage produced of Bramasole was 2000.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Bramasole 2017 is an intense, dark ruby red colour. The nose is sinuous and elegant, with ripe fruit notes of cherry and blackberry that combine with spicy sensations and a sweet liquorice aroma. The palate is powerful, rich and balanced. Pleasant tannins are well present and balanced by softness. The finish is long and marked by vanilla and blackberry aromas in the aftertaste.
Storage time:
5-8 years
Vinification
Cold maceration in stainless steel for 3 days to allow the aromatic component to be extracted. Maceration lasted for about 15 days.
