Cellar

The Baladin brewery was founded in 1986 in Piozzo (Cuneo) (the name means storyteller in Old French), from which the brewery took its name after its transformation into a brewpub, from an idea and passion of Teo Musso. From the outset, over 200 labels of beers were served, mainly foreign and mainly Belgian. With a fermentation system consisting of used milk tanks, the Blonde and Ambrée (in filtered and non-filtered versions) were born in 1996, and Teo decided to remove the 200 labels from the list to offer only his own creatures. One name has often crossed Teo's path since the beginning: Lorenzo Dabove, aka Kuaska. A great connoisseur and world-renowned beer taster, he discovers the young piozzese at the beginning of his activity and with him creates, years later, the TeKu™: the first glass for tasting craft beers. The first 10 hectares of spring distichous barley were planted in Melfi (Basilicata) under Baladin's direct management, the year in which Baladin was awarded by Unionbirrai as brewery of the year. Today, Baladin beers, curated with ever-increasing skill by Teo Musso, Paolo "Palli" Fontana and their staff, are produced using the best technologies to combine craftsmanship and quality. Over 30 variations of taste and format in continuous evolution and with always new recipe ideas to add

Description

National Blonde Ale style beer, born in September 2011, the first Italian 100% using barley malt produced in Melfi, hops from Cussanio (planted in 2008) and yeast selected for Baladin in Italy. It is certainly a milestone in an important project that commits - and will commit - Baladin over the years to advancing an all-round idea of Italian style. A project that will consist of researching raw materials throughout Italy with the commitment to establish close relationships with suppliers in many Italian regions: all this to have the guarantee of products that are always up to the standards of Baladin beers and, first and foremost, of the Nazionale itself. It is a beer of medium strength, with a delicate profile and a light, flowing sip, characterised by rather soft fruity and malty aromas and good persistence.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Slightly veiled golden yellow colour with fine, white foam of good persistence. On the nose the aromas are delicate floral, notes of chamomile and citrus fruits, bergamot and orange peel in balance with the delicate bitterness of the hops. On the sip the carbonation is medium, silky, a clean and drinkable beer with a finish of herbs and spices.

Storage time:

within 1-2 years

Vinification

Unpasteurised bottle-fermented with spices and citrus scrze
