The Campania Quintodecimo winery is located in the territory of Mirabella Eclano, immersed in a green oasis, surrounded by its own vineyards. The owner of the winery is a famous oenologist Prof. Luigi Moio, considered one of the leading Italian experts in the field of oenology. He teaches oenology at the Federico II University in Naples. And since 2015 he has also been President of the Commission of Oenology of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) based in Paris. Luigi's love of viticulture was passed on to him by his father Michele Moio, a historic winemaker from Mondragone who in the 1950s relaunched Falerno, one of the oldest wines in the world.
"Our winery is 'inside' the vineyard. This is a very important aspect. In this case, the latency time between harvest and mashing is almost zero, the grapes are mashed at maximum freshness and without any possibility of alteration. Moreover, this condition meets another fundamental requirement at the basis of wine production: vineyard and wine must represent a unitary entity in such a way as to convey the idea of eternity, of infinity. In fact, this is the winery I have always dreamed of. Simple, small, essential, without any special technology, made to mainly satisfy my own intimate needs rather than to amaze.
