The name Massimago derives from the Latin Maximum Agium and means maximum well-being. It is a young, female-run business headed by Camilla Rossi Chauvenet, who has put her own stamp on it since 2003, creating the premises for a truly extraordinary qualitative renaissance.
The winery is located in Mezzane, in an area of Valpolicella that is a little wilder than others, nestled in the valley of the same name, which creates an ideal microclimate for growing grapes.
Since the second half of the 19th century, this interesting production reality has belonged to the Cracco family, custodian of local traditions, today declined in an innovative way thanks to the drive of Camilla, a true self-made woman who with determination and enthusiasm has believed in the potential of this extraordinary territory, capable of producing Amaroni of rare elegance. A production made of a few bottles, selected grapes, precise hands, rigour and patience, and a winemaking philosophy that fully respects the environment.
