Cantina Elia is located on the walls of the historical centre of Ceglie Messapica, in the Valle D'Itria, the valley of the trulli.
This geographical position gives the opportunity to work with the most important indigenous vineyards of Apulia: the Negramaro vineyard in the Torre Guaceto area, the Susumaniello in the countryside of Brindisi, the Primitivo bred with the alberello system in Manduria and finally the Verdeca in Locorotondo. It is a small family-run business led by Sergio Elia, who graduated as a wine technician in Locorotondo and graduated as an oenologist from the Catholic University of Piacenza. Over the last 13 years he has broadened his knowledge of the wine world by working in Bolgheri, Barossa Valley, French Switzerland and finally Barolo.
The style of Cantina Elia's wines is a combination of all these experiences.
