Cellar
Scapegrace is an award-winning craft liquor company, one of the best in New Zealand. In addition to its extraordinary location, it has the privilege of drawing exceptional water from the Clutha River, which comes from a glacier.
Description
Scapegrace Gin is distilled by hand in small batches. It is made from pure grain and infused with botanicals from all over the world. An interesting peculiarity is the water that is used during the production process. In fact it is meteoric and retained for 80 years in the huge mountain range that runs along the west coast of the South Island and filtered
naturally through underground rocks. The result is a fresh gin, characterised by the perfect combination of classic juniper and citrus notes, with floral and spicy hints
Organoleptic characteristics:
Brilliant, crystalline colour. Orange blossom dominates the nose with subtle hints of rose. The citrus botanicals are soft, sweet and fresh on the nose, with a slight hint of pepper. Although the sweetness of the citrus caresses the palate, the juniper makes its way leading to natural hints of pepper. The exciting addition of three levels of citrus gives a subtle complexity.
Storage time:
over 10 years
