Marls and sandstones of Eocene origin better known as 'ponca'.
Cellar
It all began in the 1960s, when grandfather Min and then father Livio started a story that still lives on in the Tunella of Massimo and Marco Zorzettig, guardians, together with their mother Gabriella, of more than fifty years of family tradition. In today's Tunella, modernity and memory coexist, the desire to experiment and the highest traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: a present that day after day builds its future.
Our company has been called Tunella since 2002: the new name, which has supplanted the previous Livio Zorzettig, is a place-name that indicates a farmhouse and a hill located in the vicinity of the winery, amidst meadows and vineyards immersed in the gentle landscape of the Colli Orientali.
Although Tunella is a company with a well-established history, we have never abandoned the maniacal attention that characterises every small winemaker when he works in his vineyard. It is no coincidence that our philosophy is 'do little to do better': this is the only way we can offer something of excellent quality and at the same time absolutely unique and personal.
Inside every Tunella bottle there is the earth, the sun, the rain, the wind: because wine collects everything it receives. And because we want those who will come after us to enjoy the same flavours and fragrances, we pay attention to the sustainability of production.
