Villscheider maso in the hills above Brixen in South Tyrol is home to the farm that Florian Hilpod has owned since 1997. Eight hectares are planted with fruit trees, while the vineyard covers about one and a half hectares. The Hilpold family has focused on local grape varieties such as sylvaner, kerner and riesling from which they produce excellent white wines, known for their fruity aromas and the richness of the wonderful terroir from which they come. Wine from extreme viticulture as the label states, wines made from grapes cultivated in areas that are on the limit, difficult to work in terms of climate, morphology and altitude.
