Ferrari is the winery of excellence for Trento Doc bubbles. The Ferrari myth was born from a man, Giulio Ferrari, and his dream of creating a wine in Trentino that could compare with the best French Champagnes.Giulio Ferrari was a pioneer. He was the first to realise the extraordinary vocation of his land and was the first to spread Chardonnay in Italy. He began to produce a very select few bottles, with an obsessive cult for quality. Having no children, Giulio Ferrari looked for a successor to whom he could entrust his dream. Among the many suitors he chooses Bruno Lunelli, owner of a wine shop in Trento. Thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, Bruno Lunelli managed to increase production without ever compromising on quality. Today, the third generation of the Lunelli family keeps the Ferrari dream alive. Marcello, Matteo, Camilla and Alessandro run the company together with an extraordinary team with the aim of innovating in the wake of tradition, taking Ferrari around the world as an ambassador of the Italian Art of Living.
Description
The Riserva del Fondatore Giulio Ferrari represents the icon par excellence of Italian bubbles, a cru d'auteur. Pure Chardonnay, fascinating, satisfying, suggestive, grapes that come from Maso Pianizza, the oldest and most prestigious cru of the winery, located between 500 and 600 metres above sea level. A bubble that proves to be an excellence capable of defying time, a legend in that it symbolises not only a terroir, but a typology. It is what we can define as the father of all Italian bubbles.
Organoleptic characteristics:
The luminous, shimmering appearance of pure gold is lit up by very fine, rhythmic bubbles. Aromas that captivate with the freshness of apricot, grapefruit
yellow grapefruit, lemon peel and yellow wild flowers, almond and mint alternate with more complex and evolving recognitions such as dandelion honey, pan-brioche and talcum powder. The sip is disconcerting in its intensity and strength, its envelopment and length. In its richness, exact proportions are maintained, without ever any excess. The perfect balance of dosage manages to enhance all the wine's components, making it extremely refined. The finish is in continuous tension. It even offers exploratory notes of gentian, iodine and delicate smokiness.
Storage time:
2 to 8 years
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel and re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, a minimum of 117 months ageing on the lees.
