Cellar
Immersed in the countryside surrounding Strongoli Marina in the province of Crotone, just a few steps from the sea, amidst vineyards, centuries-old olive groves and citrus trees, Roberto Ceraudo founded the winery in 1973, which today has the invaluable help of his children Giuseppe, Susy and Caterina. Thanks to them, Ceraudo's has become a much more articulated reality, where in addition to the production of quality wine, oil and citrus fruits, there is a renowned restaurant and a beautiful agriturismo. The varieties cultivated are mostly indigenous: Greco Bianco, Mantonico, Pecorella, Magliocco and Gaglioppo. But there are also Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties.
The vineyard covers an area of 20 hectares, which were cultivated organically as early as the 1980s and received ICEA certification in 1991. The vines are cultivated without the use of chemical products and defended against parasite attacks by the use of weather sheds and sexually attracting pheromone traps. Photovoltaic panels are also used to make the winery energy self-sufficient.
The wines from the Ceraudo cellar are an authentic expression of the terroir. They are all very elegant and stand out for their complexity, significant consistency and persistence of aromas. The exposure of the rows towards the sea, the consistency of the soil and the microclimate have made it possible to obtain wines that are fresh and at the same time full of aromas.
