Fattoria La Rivolta was established more than a century and a half ago, in the Torrecuso district of the same name, in the province of Benevento. It extends over about 60 hectares, all owned by the Cotroneo family, growing 100% organic wine certified by ICEA and working exclusively with native Sannio vines such as falanghina, coda di volpe, fiano, greco, aglianico and piedirosso. The winery is located inside an old stone farmhouse dating back to the early 19th century, which houses the cooperage and bottling area. The production phase is entirely in-house, from the manual harvesting of the grapes in the vineyards surrounding the cellar to their processing. The aim has always been a low production per hectare. Since 2001, the company has been covered by European organic certification (ICEA). The grape varieties are all PDO and DOCG from indigenous grapes of the Sannio sub-zone Taburno, eliminating any production of international or non-typical varieties from one of the Italian areas with the highest quality wine vocation. This has been confirmed by the many awards from consumers and critics, as well as countless prizes from guides around the world.
