Alsace Willm was founded in 1896 by the WILLM family. 36 km south of Strasbourg, on the Alsace wine route. Around 1920 it became internationally renowned, and in 1930, just after the abolition of Prohibition, Willm was the first Alsatian producer to export wines to the U.S.A. Today, Willm produces a wide selection of high quality wines, including some Grand Cru, made from grapes harvested in its own Domaine.
Tradition and modern techniques are balanced in the production of the wines:
- Large wooden barrels for fermentation and ageing of reserve wines, Grand Cru, vendanges tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles, stainless steel for Vins de Sélection
