Description
Castello del Terriccio is a supertuscan made predominantly from Syrah grapes with the addition of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvigon. The wine was aged in Allier tonneaux for about 22 months and then in the bottle. 20,000 bottles per year are produced. It is a powerful and structured wine.
Organoleptic characteristics:
It has a ruby red colour tending towards garnet. The nose opens with a rich bouquet of wild berries, plum jam and spices. The palate is robust with a long finish of mint, spices and pleasantly silky tannins.
Storage time:
3-15 years
Vinification
Extremely soft pressing and destemming. Fermentation in steel vats at controlled temperature, with maceration of the grapes for approx. 9-12g
