Tequila Kah blanco 70 cl
Cellar
In the Mexican region of Jalisco, in the heart of the city of Tequila, the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos was established. The distillery employs an experienced team of jimadores who know perfectly all the states of the succulent plant that dominates the surrounding landscape: the blue agave. They are in charge of cutting the leaves at the right time to obtain the heart of the agave, the piña, and they analyse every single process of distillation production. The Fine Tequila Factory officially started in 2000, after purchasing some land adjacent to an old colonial building, which later became an ageing cellar. Owners Federico Cabo and Luz Maria Cabo had already owned a Tequila factory since 1984 and invested all their experience and entrepreneurial skills to make the Fabrica known around the globe. Description
In the ancient Mayan language, Kah means life. The characteristic bottles are hand-decorated and therefore no two are alike and are modelled on the Calaveras, the decorated skulls that are displayed during the 'Dia de Muertos' celebrations. The actual skulls of loved ones are kept and taken out on 8 November each year. After the skull is brought to the cemetery, it is fed with cigarettes and tequila. This act is believed to immortalise the dead who, in this way, help protect the living from evil spirits. Kah is the result of distilling only hand-picked Blue Agave, the liquid is then aged in white oak barrels.
