Madame Clicquot created the first blended Ros\u00e9 champagne in history in 1818 by adding a percentage of red wine to the Brut Yellow Label. The result is Veuve Clicquot Ros\u00e9, an expression of the pleasant, fruity flavour typical of the Veuve Clicquot style. The result of blending some 50-60 different crus, the body of the Cuv\u00e9e is based on the traditional style of the Brut Yellow Label and, specifically, is composed of a 44-48% of Pinot Noir, a 13-18% of Meunier and a 25-29% of Chardonnay.
